Hailakandi: Eight candidates have been expelled on the first day of the Higher Secondary final examination in Hailakandi district on Wednesday. Inspector of Schools, Rajiv Kumar Jha informed that a total of eight examinees was expelled for adopting unfair means in the exam. Of the total candidates expelled, two are from Algapur Public HS School, four from SS College, one each from Govt.VMHS School and Public HS School. Out of 4,036 candidates, 3,878 were present and 176 absent.
There are 11 examination centres for holding of the HS final exam. Flying squads have been formed for monitoring the conduct of the examination and to report any malpractices. Tight security arrangements have been put in place, including the installation of CCTVs in all the examination centres.
