Eight-day Simanta Prabajak Yatra at Indo-Bangladesh border

DHUBRI: Dhubri district unit of Simanta Chetan Manch, Purbottar is all set to launch ‘Simanta Prabajak Yatra’ from October 26 in the Indo-Bangladesh border area to create awareness among the people there to become real sentinels of the border. Speaking in the press meet held here on Wednesday at Sri Sri Jogomaya Temple premises, president of Dhubri district unit Manch, Nikhil Chandra Roy explained details of the yatra programme which will start from Dhubri Kalibari Temple on October 26 and conclude at Ronpagli on November 2.

“Simanta Prabajak Yatra will be covered in eight days by visiting the Manch’s eight sectors in the border with night halts at Debottar Hasdah, Dangarpar Hari Mandir, Kedar Harimandir,Gumti Harimandir, Balabari Hari Mandir, Kaldoba Sanyasi Dham,and Ronpagli,” Sarkar added. Sarkar informed that an Akhaybanti, which would be lit at Dhubri Kalibari, would be carried through the yatra as symbol of unity and solidarity to protect the border of the country.
