Kaziranga: Happy news for all those people looking forward to enjoying a tour of the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve on an elephant. The park authorities have informed that the elephant safari in the national park will begin for tourists from November 1, exactly after a month of the park reopening earlier this month.
The UNESCO World Heritage site Kaziranga National Park was closed for tourists since March because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation and floods. The park opened up on October 1 with jeep safari in Kohora range of the park.
The park authorities also informed that tourists from both within the state and from around the country as well as foreign tourists have been thronging in. The turnout of visitors has been pretty significant and encouraging, the officials said.
