Kokrajhar: Son of former Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader Biswajit Daimary who went missing on Tuesday (January 5) has been located in Chapaguri in Chirang district
According to reports, Amitraj Daimary has been located in Chapaguri in Chirang district.
The 16-year-old Amitraj Daimary, a student of class 10th in Kokrajhar Reality Public School has been missing since 1 PM yesterday.
Earlier, speaking to media Biswajit Daimary said, "Police informed me that his two friends helped him to climb the wall as he said to his friends that he will go home and after that, he will go to Guwahati then he will be moving towards Delhi. So I think he might be somewhere in his friend's place."
GP Singh, ADGP L&O taking to his Twitter handle wrote, "The missing child of Ex MP Sri Biswajeet Daimary has been located. A big relief for all of us."
Rakesh Roshan, Superintendent of Police (SP), Kokrajhar is leading the investigation and had launched a search operation to trace missing Amitraj Daimary.
Meanwhile, the principal of the school said, "I talked to the students, they said Amitraj highly speak with the students, he always keeps himself lonely in a corner. He always seems upset, he thinks he is not able to cop up with the things. But he never shares these things neither with teachers or principal nor with his parents.
"The school opened on Monday, and he had come to the hostel on Sunday. He attended the classes on Monday but on Tuesday morning after the first class he went missing, " he further added.
It is to be noted that Amitraj called his father on Tuesday morning and talked about studying outside hostel with a teacher that his principal suggested him, However, his principal said he did not gave him permission for this and asked him to talk with his parents regarding this. After that Amitraj went missing.
