Executive committee meeting of Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti Assam held in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Extended Executive Committee Meeting of Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti Assam was held at Alok Bhavan on Sunday in presence of Member Secretary of the Indian Council of Historical Research as guest of honour, Dr. Balmukund Pandey, national organizing secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana (ABISY) as chief guest, Dr. Sunil Mohanty, and other dignitaries.

In this meeting, Dr. Balmukund Pandey declared the role and designation of Hemanta Dhing Mazumdar as Khetra Sangathan Mantri and Sampak Pramukh of ABISY. Mazumdar stated few decisions regarding discontinuation of the Karnadhar committee of Assam and introduction of two more research journals with inclusion of Bengali, Hindi and English languages. The existing Assamese journal Itihas Barta would continue, he said.

A total 110 delegates participated in this meeting following COVID protocol, stated a press release.
