MANGALDAI: Darrang Police busted a fake Indian currency note (FICN) racket and arrested five persons, including three women from Nagaland, from a remote village in Darrang district on Wednesday. The police also seized 50 FICNs in the denomination of Rs 500 and a printing machine used for printing of FICN from their possession.
As per instruction from Superintendent of Police Er Sushanta Biswa Sarma, Panbari Police under Dhula Police Station conducted a raid in the house of one Mohibul Hoque of village Raja Howli under Panbari Police Outpost and arrested all the five persons, including the three Naga women.
They have been identified as Nazrul Hussain and Hafizur Islam of village Islampur No. 2 under Bihapuria Police Station in Lakhimpur district. The arrested Naga women are Antoli Hayemi (31), Hukheli Sumi (31) and Jury (30) of Zunheboto village under Zunheboto Police Station of Zunheboto district of Nagaland.
