Farewell accorded to outgoing Sonitpur ADC Kulen Sarma

The outgoing ADC, said that his tenure as the ADC of Sonitpur was a pleasurable experience which he would cherish in his memories and thanked everyone for their unconditional love and support.

TEZPUR: Officers and staff of Project Director, Integrated Tribal Development Project, Tezpur, Minorities Development Board and a number of leading citizens and social organizations of Tezpur on Wednesday offered farewell to outgoing Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur, Kulen Sarma at a function organized at the meeting hall of the Subdivisional Welfare Office, Tezpur.

The programme was chaired by Haren Mili, president of All Assam Tribal Sangha, Sonitpur chapter, while short speeches were also delivered by Rishabh Sipani, chairman of Minorities Development Board, Sonitpur, and Paban Chetry, member of OBC Board, Sonitpur.

The outgoing ADC, in his farewell speech, said that his tenure as the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur was a pleasurable experience which he would cherish in his memories and thanked everyone for their unconditional love and support. He attributed all success to the collective efforts put in by officers concerned and colleagues in the district, civil societies, NGOs, student organizations and individuals for their cooperation and support during his tenure.

Senior journalist and culture activist, Dip Kumar Kalita also spoke on the occasion and expressed his admiration for the positive attitude upheld by the outgoing ADC. Kulen Sarma was presented with a gamosa, xarai, citation and other items. He has been transferred to Lakhimpur district and he is expected to take charge shortly.
