LAKHIMPUR: A farewell ceremony, in honour of Dipti Baruah, a teacher of repute, was held on Saturday at Shastri Smriti High School in Dhakuakhana subdivision of Lakhimpur district.
In the event, the academic staff, the students of the school, the School Development and Management Committee and the people of the area honoured the teacher with citations, selengsador, gamosa and various kinds of mementoes appreciating her sincere service to the academic field since 1985 to 2020. Shastri Smriti High School organized a special programme at the school auditorium in a befitting manner on the occasion. It commenced with Dharmeswar Dhandiya in the chair while headmaster Robin Baruah explained the objective of the programme. He appreciated the qualities of Dipti Baruah as a teacher and her dedication and devotion to the academic service. In addition to him, a host of ex-students of the school and eminent persons of the area delivered speech appreciating the teacher.
