Ferry service resumes between Majuli and Jorhat

Majuli-Jorhat ferry services were suspended due to the COVID-19 transmission in the island district

Guwahati: The ferry services between Majuli and Jorhat have been resumed from 17 August 2020 after a brief suspension due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Majuli-Jorhat ferry services were suspended due to the COVID-19 transmission in the island district. The ferry services have resumed with Unlock 3.0 coming into force.

The Majuli district administration has set a number of guidelines that are to be followed during the movement. Only 50 percent of passengers will be allowed to travel by the ferries. Services in all parghats in Majuli will be resumed. The ferry services will be available from Monday to Friday.
