FIGHT AGAINST COVID:  Golaghat district is now ‘Green Zone’

Golaghat: On Thursday, the district administration listed Golaghat as a green zone. As per government guidelines, a district with less than 15 cases is marked as Hot Spot (Red Zone) with cluster (s). A district which is Hot Spot (Red Zone) changes to Hot Spot (Orange Zone) if no case is detected in last 14 days in the district, and a district further changes from Orange Zone to Green Zone if no case is detected in the subsequent 14 days.

In Golaghat district, nine COVID-19 positive patients were reported and later eight out of nine were discharged from the hospital. In this context, as many as 50 persons were placed under quarantine in Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital and later they were also released after showing no symptoms. With no report of new cases of COVID-19 within 28 days, Golaghat district become a green zone from red zone as per government guidelines.
