Final electoral rolls published in Tezpur, Dhubri

TEZPUR: The final electoral rolls of Tezpur Election district with January 1, 2023 as qualifying date has been published on Saturday in respect of all five Legislative Assembly Constituencies under Tezpur Election district at a meeting held at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Sonitpur in the presence of MP Pallab Lochan Das, District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra, EO Eva Das, all EROs and representatives of political parties.

A total of 9,61,234 voters have been enrolled into the electoral rolls after the Special Summary Revision that was carried out between November 2022 to January 2023 as per instruction of the Election Commission of India. Out of these 4,80,868 are males and 4,80,366 are female voters. The total number of voters as per the draft electoral rolls published on 09-11-2022 was 9,49,103. With an increase of 12,131 voters after the Special Summary Revision 2022, there has been an increase of 1.26 per cent electors over the draft electoral roll.

DHUBRI: Special Summary Revision of the Photo Electoral Rolls for all the three Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) were published at a press meet by Dhubri Deputy Commissioner, Dibakar Nath in his official conference hall on Friday. In the three legislative assembly constituencies, a total of 200866 voters of 23 Dhubri LAC were enrolled with an increase of 2707 voters, in 24 Gauripur LAC, 213069 voters were enrolled with an increase of 1892 voters while in Golokganj LAC, 208034 voters were enrolled with an increase of 1398 new voters.

In the revision of electoral roll, there are 615972 voters of three LACs of Dhubri sub division with an increase of 5779 voters. In the present electoral roll, there are 6229 D-voters while 187 voters with D-voter marks were removed in Dhubri, Gauripur and Golokganj legislative assembly constituencies, while a total of 899 service voters were enrolled in the special summery revision of photo electoral rolls. There are 732 polling stations in the three LACs, an officer informed.
