TINSUKIA: The final photo electoral rolls in respect of special summary revision, 2022 for 5 LACs of Tinsukia district under three election districts - 122 Tinsukia, 123 Digboi and 125 Doomdooma (under Tinsukia election district);124 Margherita LAC and 126 Sadiya LAC – were published on Wednesday.
In Tinsukia, the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer of Tinsukia, Narsing Pawar while presenting the electoral details for three LACs, said there was considerable increase of 8,512 voters with female voters outnumbering the male voters. LAC-wise there was increase of 3,495 voters in Tinsukia, 2,550 and 2,467 voters in Digboi and Doomdooma respectively.
In 124 Margherita LAC, the Final Photo Electoral Roll was published in a meeting held at the office of the Subdivisional Officer (Civil), Margherita. The meeting was chaired by Palash Rajkumar Ahom, ADC i/c, Margherita and was attended by Aditi Neog, Election Officer, Margherita and party members of Indian National Congress (INC), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), and media persons of the subdivision.
Ahom while publishing the Final Photo Electoral, said that as compared to the draft electoral published on November 1, 2021, there was a significant increase of 7,885 electors in the final publication. As per the data, there are 2,04,573 eligible electors in the subdivision, out of which there are 1,02,872 male electors and 1,01,701 female electors with no transgender elector added during this revision.
In 126 Sadiya LAC, the final electoral roll was published at the SDO's office Chapakhowa. With total electorate of 1,93,835, the male and female voters are 95,992 and 95,841 respectively. Though there was an increase of 4,469 voters in the final roll, the names of 1,398 voters were deleted while names of 888 voters have been rectified.
HAFLONG: Dima Hasao Deputy Commissioner Nazreen Ahmed held a meeting with the representatives of the political parties and media persons to notify final publication of integrated photo electoral rolls for 16-Haflong (ST) LAC with reference to January 1, 2022 as the qualifying date and in accordance with registration of electors, 1960. Copy of electoral rolls was published on Wednesday at the video conference hall of the DC's office. This copy will be available for inspection at the district election office and all designated locations in each polling station, as informed by the Deputy Commissioner. The list can also be referred to digitally through the mobile application voters' helpline.
The voters may now check their voter details in the electoral rolls, 2022 available with their respective BLOs of the polling stations concerned. According to the electoral roll, 1,48,982 voters are registered with the inclusion of 3,198 new voters.
GOSAAIGAON: The District Election Officer, Gossaigaon, Masanda Pertin, along with EROs of 28 and 29 LAC, published the final electoral roll of 28 and 29 LACs for Special Summary Revision, 2022 with January 1, 2022 as qualifying date.
The draft electoral roll for 29-Kokrajhar West (ST) LAC was published on November 1, 2021 and for 28- Gossaigaon LAC, it was published on November 8, 2021 due to the bye-elections in the LAC then. The draft electoral roll was made public and copies were given to recognized political parties. Voters could check their names online through various websites like ceoassam.nic.in or nvsp.in . The DEO had set the period of November 1 to November 30 for Form 6, Form 7, Form 8, Form 8A from the citizens.
People had filled these forms either offline (through their respective BLOs) or through various online platforms like Voter Helpline App or National Voters Service Portal (NVSP). A total of 10,287 forms were received during the month of November and 100 per cent forms have been processed and the electoral roll has also been updated accordingly in 28 Gossaigaon LAC.
