FIR Lodged Against Angoorlata Deka For Her Derogatory Remarks Against Dental Doctors

Earlier, Angoorlata Deka was given an ultimatum of 48 hours by the Indian Dental Association to apologize for her derogatory remarks against the dental community.

Guwahati: BJP leader Angoorlata Deka has faced legal trouble for her derogatory remarks against the dental community after the Assam state branch of the Indian Dental Association lodged a complaint against her.

This development comes after Angoorlata Deka failed to apologize to the dental community for her derogatory remarks.

An ultimatum of 48 hours was given to the BJP leader to apologize by the Indian Dental Association for her controversial remarks, failing which the FIR was lodged against her.

On September 19, the IDA's ultimatum had been exhausted.

There have been multiple FIRs filed against the BJP leader by dental associations across the state as of now. On September 23, there were FIRs lodged against the BJP leader at Patacharkuchi Police Station, Barpeta road station, Bongaigaon police station, Nalbari Police Station and Kokrajhar Police Station.

In addition to the Assam State Branch of the Indian Dental Association, the Lower Assam Branch of the IDA and the Rangia Branch lodged an FIR on September 22.

As per reports, an FIR has also been filed in Morigaon against the BJP leader by the dental surgeons.

Last month, Angoorlata Deka, the ex-MLA of Batadrawa constituency, Assam, was caught in a case of misappropriation and embezzlement of a huge sum of money amounting to Rs. 2 crores from a government fund allotted to her constituency.
