First-ever successful trial run of helicopter services at Haflong

HAFLONG: With the initiative of the Dima Hasao Deputy Commissioner Paul Barua, the first ever successful trial run of helicopter services at Haflong was conducted by the Air Force on Wednesday.

The historical moment for the Dima Hasao people was witnessed by the people of Haflong when an AF helicopter from Kumbhirgram landed at the newly-constructed helipad near Dibarai High School in presence of Deputy Commissioner Paul Barua and Assistant Commissioner Ibon Teron.

DC Barua, while talking to the media, said that he had communicated with the Air Transport authority to introduce air services considering the feasible condition. This service will definitely help people in any emergency.
