Five fake currency note dealers arrested in Mangaldai

MANGALDAI: In the continuing intensive drive against the organized gang of anti-social elements, Darrang Police, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Sushanta Biswa Sarma, arrested a gang of Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) dealers and recovered objectionable items like fake currency printing machine, a bundle of blank paper sheets for printing FICN, five mobile phones, cash Rs. 13,410 and FICN amounting to Rs.17,500 and two motorcycles from their possession.

The arrested persons have been identified as Ali Hussain (22), son of Ahajuddin Ahmed, Amirul Islam (24), son of Mohammad Ali, Rahul Ali (19), son of Jamal Ali, and Inamul Haque (21), son of Abdul Haque- all from village Bandia Chapori under Mangaldai Police Station - and Saddam Hussain, son of Matleb Ali of village Baroipara under Kharupetia Police Station. They have been booked in connection with Kharupetia PS Case No. 240/21 u/s 120(B)/489A/489C/489D/34 IPC.
