DHUBRI: In a review meeting of District Health Society held at the Joint Director of Health Services conference hall, Dhubri, five health institutions of the district were felicitated for acquiring Kayakalp award for the year 2018-19 on Saturday. The Kayakalp awardee teams from the health institutions were felicitated by Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri, Anant Lal Gyani, Gauripur legislator, Joint Director DHS Dhubri and Additional CM&HO (FW).
Santipur Mini PHC under Ranigonj Block PHC got the first prize and received cheque of Rs 2 lakh. Gauripur CHC and Moterjhar Mahatma Gandhi Model Hospital got Commendation Award and received cheque of Rs 1 lakh each as CHC category health institution. Bilasipara SHC and Golokganj PHC got Commendation award and received cheque of Rs 5,000 as PHC category health institution.
This year (2019-20), 19 health institutions of the district are competing for the Kayakalp award with other health institutions of the State. Gauripur MLA Nizanur Rahman and Dhubri DC Anant Lal Gyani congratulated all the Kayakalp awardees and expected that all 19 health institutions would get the award this year too. Earlier, a mega health camp was organized in ward no. 12 by Dhubri health department wherein more than 20 physicians checked the health of nearly 3,000 people of Dhubri town on September 3.
