TINSUKIA: With the arrest of another five persons on Monday, the Tinsukia Sadar Police created a record of apprehending 13 dacoits in pursuit of a broad daylight robbery case in Tinsukia which was committed on April 30.
While eight dacoits were nabbed on Saturday, the Tinsukia Sadar Police led by officer-in-charge Biren Baruah along and TSI Bhaskar Jyoti Phukan, while carrying out further operations in Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts, arrested five persons who have been identified as Raja Ali (40) under Jaipur PS of Dibrugarh district, Simanta Moran(27) of Sebeda Jengoni gaon under Bordubi PS, Pranab Baruah (25) of Mamoroni and Abdul Sheikh (38) under Digboi PS and Kalu Khan (27) of Tarun Nagar under Makum PS. The Scorpio vehicle no AS 01 AX 2320 used in the robbery was also seized. The robbery was committed in the house of Bhimraj Agarwalla of Chaliha Nagar Tinsukia.
