Five trucks seized by Dharamtul Police for plying without valid papers

JAGIROAD: The Dharamtul Police, acting on a tip-off, seized five trucks on Wednesday owned by Simplex Company engaged for construction of roads and bridges in the district of Morigaon. Police sources said that all five trucks were plying without valid papers and as such evaded tax. Sources also said that there were many more trucks of the company running without valid papers. On the other hand, people have complained that the company was ‘delaying’ construction activities. The trucks seized have registration numbers MN 01 AA 1310, MN 01 AA1323, MN 01AA 1330, NL 05 G 1592 and AS27 C 0892.
