Flood mock drill exercise conducted in Baksa

BAKSA: Flood mock drill exercise was organized by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Baksa which conducted at Nicholamari High School in Baganpara Revenue Circle and Rampur Baksa Revenue Circle in Baksa district in Assam. Circle Officers Bhaskar Jyoti Borah, ACS, Rituparna Badhra, ACS, Field Officers Dipankar Nath, Swmwkhr Boro of Baksa & Baganpara, Tapan Konch, District Project Officer, Chanda Singh were present during the flood mock drill exercise. A huge gathering of 300 people of vulnerable location of Rampur Ramesh Boro pond and Nichlamari High School participated. NDRF demonstrated the search and rescue techniques. Bhutan Kurichuu Hydro Power Dam affects large parts of Baksa district. The Fire & Emergency Services demonstrated on fire outbreak and fire extinguisher. The entire department performed their roles and responsibilities during emergency. The local public gain ample knowledge to tackle any kind of disaster, stated a press release.
