Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya pays last respects to Tarun Gogoi

Minister for Environment and Forest, Excise and Fisheries, Parimal Suklabaidya paid his last respects to former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday.

SILCHAR: Minister for Environment and Forest, Excise and Fisheries, Parimal Suklabaidya paid his last respects to former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday. Suklabaidya paid his homage by laying a wreath at the mortal remains of former Chief Minister at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati.

Minister Suklabaidya spoke to MP, Gaurav Gogoi, son of the former Chief Minister, and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family. He prayed to the Almighty to give strength and fortitude to the family to bear the great loss.

Later, speaking to mediapersons, Minister Suklabaidya said, "I think Tarun Gogoi Sir is a real warrior and a heroic fighter in the political arena." He said that as an MLA, he got to know Tarun Gogoi as Chief Minister for 10 years and at that time he noticed one thing about him and that he was not only a politician, but also a "teacher of the politician'.

Minister Suklabaidya said in his personal life he had great respect for him as a well-liked person in the state. He said there was a huge void in the political world with the passing away of Tarun Gogoi and it would take a long time to fill up the void, stated a press release.
