Forest officials rescue ferret badger and python in Dima Hasao

HAFLONG: Celebrating the 69th Wildlife Week, forest officials of Haflong forest range rescued a ferret badger from Haflong railway colony and released in the forest area on Saturday. The team of forest officials led by Jananjay Haflongbar, Forest Range Officer, also rescued a Asian Rock python near Moulhoi village and released in the forest.

Haflongbar said that he had seen the ferret badger in Dima Hasao for the first time. The district of Dima Hasao has been an abode of many wild animals. Since the present forest department of Dima Hasao has been taking proper steps for the preservation and protection of wildlife, the people are also coming forward to save wildlife of Dima Hasao.
