A CORRESPONDENT
DOOMDOOMA: Mrinal Barkakati (47), a former general secretary of Doomdooma Regional Students' Union (DRSU) and an employee of Samdang T.E., died of COVID-19 at Tinsukia Gopinath Bordoloi Civil Hospital on Saturday. He was suffering from fever and cough and was admitted in the hospital with the help of his family on October 6 after he complained of respiratory distress while still at work. His death has been mourned by DRSU, Doomdooma Press Club and other organizations.
