Former journalist Kabita Duarah releases three books in Dibrugarh

Former journalist and budding writer Kabita Duarah released her three books at a function held at the railway institute in Dibrugarh on Wednesday.

DIBRUGARH: Former journalist and budding writer Kabita Duarah released her three books at a function held at the railway institute in Dibrugarh on Wednesday. The three books are- Despair to Hope, Revenge of the Captive Fire Dragon and Miku the Clever Little Rhino.

The book release function coinciding with the 50th wedding anniversary of the author’s parents, Rajani Kanta Duarah and Renu Duarah, was presided over by Dr Jyotimala Gohain Phukan, Principal (retd) of Tingkhong College.

Despair to Hope—The Journey of an ANA+ was the author’s debut novel and based on a true account that is a poignant narration of the mutual love and bonding of a couple as they tread the uncertain path of an unconventional healing process.

Dr Madumita Purkayastha, Head of the Department of English, DHSK College congratulated the author for her books. She added that the greatest mantra of a genuine writer is to unselfishly give up to others a part of one’s ‘self’, to fearlessly confront the reader with one’s perceptions of truth, beauty and life transmitted into literary art.
