Former Rajya Sabha MP and BJP Leader Biswajit Daimary's Son Goes Missing

Kokrajhar: Son of former Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader Biswajit Daimary has gone missing on Tuesday (January 5).

The 16-year-old Amitraj Daimary who is a student of class 10th in Kokrajhar Reality Public School has been missing since 1 pm yesterday.

Rakesh Roshan, Superintendent of Police (SP), Kokrajhar is leading the investigation and launched a search operation to trace missing Amitraj Daimary.

According to a media reports police have been examining the CCTV footages of the area from where the 16-year-old is believed to have gone missing.

As per latest reports, police are examining the CCTV footages of the area, from where Biswajit Daimary's son is believed to have gone missing.

Speaking to media Biswajit Daimary said, "Police informed me that his two friends helped him to climb the wall as he said to his friends that he will go home and after that he will go to Guwahati then he will be moving towards Delhi. So I think he might be somewhere in his friends place."

Daimary further said that his son called him on Tuesday morning from his cousin sister's mobile phone who works at the school. "In the morning when he called me he talked about taking tuition outside hostel in a teachers place. He said that his principal suggested him to study with the teacher. When I told him that I already talked with the teacher he is free only at night and who will help you to take you in his place at night in a place like Kokrajhar. So I asked him to stay there only, and said I will talk to his principal regarding this, but then he asked me not to talk with his principal. However, when I talked with his principal, he had let me know that Amitraj only asked his principal if he can stay at the teacher's place and to go to school from there and on that the principal told him that he cannot give him permission and asked him to talk with us."
