Former Teok CKB College Principal Jogendranath Saikia passes away

Jogendranath Saikia, former principal, Chandra Kamal Bezbaruah (CKB) College, Teok in Jorhat district and a resident of Jagduwar Tiniali passed away at his residence on Saturday at about 5:40 pm due to respiratory problem.

GAURISAGAR: Jogendranath Saikia, former principal, Chandra Kamal Bezbaruah (CKB) College, Teok in Jorhat district and a resident of Jagduwar Tiniali passed away at his residence on Saturday at about 5:40 pm due to respiratory problem. He was 84.

His sudden demise is being widely mourned in entire Teok, Jagduwar area. He had dedicated his life for promoting higher education in greater Teok area. Honoring the educationist, Jagduwar Bibasayee Santha had shuttered down their business establishment on Saturday. His last rites were performed on Sunday evening. Before cremation, a shraddhanjali function was held at his residence where the fraternity of CKB College, AASU Teok Regional Unit, AJYCP, Senior Citizen Forum, JagduwarYuvaSangha among 35 other organizations, individuals paid rich tribute to him. He is survived by his wife, three sons including KhirodSaikia, Associate Professor, Kakojan College, Jorhat, two daughters and a host of relatives.
