Former village headman Baneswar Kalita dies in Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: Baneswar Kalita (91), former village headman of Mising Gaon of Bordikorai area under Jamuguri PS breathed his last on May 7 due to old age ailments at his Bordikorai residence. Late Kalita was an efficient bhaona artiste, cultural activist and was a social organizer. Baneswar Kalita was closely associated with many socio-cultural organizations of Bordikorai and Jamugurihat area. His demise was widely mourned.
