Foundation day of Asha workers' association observed in Assam

The foundation day of All Assam Asha Workers’ Association was organized in the auditorium of Demow Multi Purpose Building on Friday with a day-long programme.

Demow: Under the patronage of Demow Block Committee and in association with the people of Demow, the foundation day of All Assam Asha Workers' Association was organized in the auditorium of Demow Multi Purpose Building on Friday with a day-long programme.

As per the schedule, the programme started with cleanliness drive on Friday morning. The earthen lamp was lit by Niju Moni Gogoi, president of Demow Block Primary Health Centre Asha Workers' Association. Ranjit Borah, Block Programme Manager of Demow Block Primary Health Centre, hoisted the flag. Dr Rajib Jangid, a doctor of Demow Block Primary Health Centre, planted the saplings. The smriti tarpan was offered by Ashini Gogoi, president of Sivasagar District Asha Workers' Association.

Dr.S Ullah, SDM&HO of Demow Block Primary Health Centre, inaugurated the cultural procession. Dr Rupam Borkotoky, Deputy Superintendent of Demow Model Hospital, inaugurated the open session in the programme. Parul Borah, secretary of Sanmillita Mahila Samaj, presided over the meeting.
