Goalpara: Foundation stones of two roads under the Goalpara Municipality Board (GMB) were laid on Sunday in ward no. 4 under the initiative of ward commissioner Mukid Hussain. Both the programmes were attended by AK Rasid Alom, MLA of East Goalpara, and Ikhtuaruddin Ahmed, chairman of Goalpara Municipality Board. The first road connects bylane no. 2 of Ambari with the house of Monower Ali at the length of 80 metres. It will be built at a cost of Rs 7.10 lakh. The foundation of the second road was also laid on the same day by AK Rasid Alom, Ikhtuaruddin Ahmed and Gopi Ghosh, vice-chairman of GMB. This road will connect the Nayapara PWD road with the Ramakrishna Mission Temple of Beelpatti.
