Four child labourers rescued in Demow

The Child Labour Task Force of the Sivasagar district conducted a search operation in Demow rescued four child labourers

DEMOW: The Child Labour Task Force of the Sivasagar district conducted a search operation in Demow on Wednesday and rescued four child labourers.

According to sources, under the leadership of Manali Prasad Rajak, Assistant Commissioner of Sivasagar district as well as in-charge of Child Labour Task Force, S Bhattacharjee Assistant Labour Commissioner of Sivasagar district, Dipak Taye and Rupa Gogoi, both officers of District Child Protection Office, along with Demow Police rescued two child labourers from a Tata AC car on Tuesday. They were engaged in collecting garbage under the Demow Municipal Board. They also rescued two child labourers from a dhaba named Atithi in Demow on Wednesday. The rescued children were sent to a children's home.
