Four Die After Consuming Poisonous Mushrooms In Assam's Dibrugarh

Guwahati: At least four people lost their lives on Monday after consuming poisonous mushrooms in Assam's Dibrugarh district.

According to reports, on April 7, a family had eaten unknown mushrooms after which they fell sick.

All the sick persons were taken to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh for treatment.

However, on Monday, four of them died during treatment while the others are still in critical condition.

The deceased have been identified as Junali Praja, Rima Karfmakar, Chayanika Karmakar and Ajoy Karmakar.

They were all residents of Sonari's Lalipathargaon.

Reportedly, according to doctors, those who are still in critical condition and are still not responding well to the treatment.
