Free health check-up camp held at hospital's premise

A day-long free medical health check-up camp on Hypertension, Diabetes and Dermatology was organized by Kellyden

TEZPUR: A day-long free medical health check-up camp on Hypertension, Diabetes and Dermatology was organized by Kellyden Tea Estate Hospital, Kaliabor in association with DrPradip Kumar Lahkar, MIP, Tezpur and special member of Medical Advisory Board of Plantation Workers, Government of Assam and ABITA Nagaon Circle on the hospital's premises on Sunday.

The programme was inaugurated by Keshab Mahanta, Minister of Water Resources etc. in the presence of senior manager of Kellyden TE, RajsekharDutta, members of ACMS, ATTSA and other dignitaries.

Around 300 patients from six nearby tea gardens including three APPL gardens of Missa under ABITA Nagaon Circle and large number of villagers also were examined by all the estate medical and para medical staff including Dr. KishorChakravarty, MD, Dr. AbhinandanGoswami, MS, DrGautamBhuyan, Diabetologist, Dr. PiyushAgarwal and free medicines were provided.

Attending the programme, DrPradip Kumar Lahkar said the purpose of such camps was to create health awareness and offer free health services to the needy.

The gathering was also addressed KeshabMahanta, facilitator of the program.
