Ganja peddler arrested in Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: Samir Ali, a ganja peddler and a resident of Bhuyan Para Habidalani village, was arrested by a team of Sootea police on Thursday night in connection with ganja peddling. Police recovered 7 kg ganja from his possession.

Officer in-charge of Sootea PS, Shyamal Jyoti Saikia said that police got information about involvement of Samir Ali in ganja peddling. Following that information, a police team, under the guidance of Biswanath police ASP Kulendra Nath Deka, conducted a search operation at Samir Ali's residence and recovered ganja weighing 7 kg from his possession.

The police team arrested him and brought him to Sootea police station on Thursday night. A case (24/22) was registered and the arrested ganja peddler was sent to Biswanath jail on Friday.
