General Election Observer takes stock of preparedness at Biswanath

The General Election Observer of Biswanath and Behali constituencies, Shamim Ahmed Khan, IAS, took charge on Tuesday morning.

BISWANATH CHARIALI: The General Election Observer of Biswanath and Behali constituencies, Shamim Ahmed Khan, IAS, took charge on Tuesday morning. Soon after taking charge, Khan had a detailed meeting with Pranab Kumar Sarmah, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer of Biswanath, where he took stock of election preparedness of both Biswanath and Behali constituencies.

Making an appeal to common people and also political parties and candidates, Khan said that if anyone comes across any violation of Model Code of Conduct or any election related discrepancy, the person should directly contact him at 9412254786 or email him at khansa1962@gmail.com or alternatively call the toll-free number 1950 to lodge complaint. Khan, who is an Uttar Pradesh cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, will be in Biswanath as the General Observer till May 2 and will be staying at the Circuit House.
