DIBRUGARH, JUL 16: Girls outperformed boys in all the three streams of the 3-year degree course (TDC) bachelor's degree exam conducted by Dibrugarh University. On Tuesday, the results were declared across colleges affiliated to Dibrugarh University.
Gurpreet Kaur Virdi, a student of DHSK College, Dibrugarh was the topper in Bachelor of Arts (BA) securing 1,212 marks out of 1,400 with 86.57% with Geography as her major subject.
In Bachelor of Science (BSc), Nabamallika Nath of Moran College emerged as the topper securing 1,292 marks out of 1,400 averaging 92.29% with Chemistry as major subject.
Nikita Ghosh, a student of Sonari Commerce College topped the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) exam securing 1,972 marks out of 2,400 aggregating 82.17% with major in Accountancy and Finance.
Dibrugarh University deputy controller of examination (Academic) Arinjit Hazarika said that 9,009 candidates (53.84%) out of 16,732 passed the BA (major) exam. In BSc, 2,077 candidates (41.32%) out of 5,027 passed while in BCom 1,345 candidates out of 2,154 emerged successful.
In BA general course 1,407 candidates (23.51%) out of 5,984 passed while in BSc general course 107 candidates (33.44%) out of 320 were successful. In BCom general 382 candidates (31.39%) out of 1,217 passed.
