LAKHIMPUR: The celebration of the golden Jubilee of the Undivided Lakhimpur District Brahma Dharma Samiti has been underway since Friday. Simultaneously with the same event, the 20th session of the Undivided Lakhimpur District Brahma Dharma Yuva Samiti, 8th session of the Undivided Lakhimpur District Brahma Dharma Mahila Samiti, 51st session of the Simen Anchalik Brahma Dharma Samiti, 18th session of the Simen Anchalik Brahma Dharma Yuva Samiti, 7th session of the Simen Anchalik Brahma Dharma Mahila Samiti were also organized.
The second day agenda of the events began with the traditional “Yagyahuti” programme conducted by Dwipen Narzary, Mukhya Pracharak, the Prachar Sansad of the Undivided Lakhimpur District Brahma Dharma Yuva Samiti.
Then former president of the Undivided Lakhimpur District Brahma Dharma Samiti Birendra Kumar Brahma inaugurated the “Dharma Tatwa Bishleshan” programme, which was held under the management of Leelakanta Brahma, Mukhya Pracharak, the Prachar Sansad of the Undivided Lakhimpur District Brahma Dharma Samiti.
In that programme, Assistant Professor at Simen Chapori College Dhaneswar Narzary conducted the “Surya Narayan Agni Ahuti” programme and delivered lecture on “Surya Narayan Dhyan” and “Brahma Gayatri”. Gopal Chandra Basumatary, Sahakari Mukhya Pracharak, Prachar Sansad of the Undivided Lakhimpur District Brahma Dharma Samiti, delivered lecture on “ What is Brahma?”, Dwipen Narzary delivered lecture on “What is required for human-being?”.
On the other hand, Babu Daimary, Mukhya Pracharak, Prachar Sansad if the Madhya Jonai Anchalik Brahma Dharma Samiti delivered lecture on “Realistic and Metaphysical Aspects”. Souvenir named “Brahma Sonathi Bidang”, edited by Dhaneswar Narzary, was released by Aswini Kumar Swargiyary while mouthpiece “Brahma Gyan” was released by retired teacher Rajendra Kumar Brahma. Mahendra Daimary released “Sungdoyee Bodo Thunlai Jarimin”, written by Dhaneswar Narzary.
The “Dharmalosana Sabha” of the event commenced from 11:00 am with Chandra Mohan Mussahary in the chair and it was inaugurated by Lakhimpur MP Pradan Baruah. President of the central committee of the United Bodo People’s Organization, Manuranjan Basumatary delivered lecture on “Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma as the trendsetter of the Bodo community” while Dhaneswar Narzary delivered lecture on “Kalicharan Brahma as social reformer and politician”. It was followed by a symposium of the Undivided Lakhimpur District Brahma Dharma Yuva Samiti, which commenced with Srijwn Basumatary in the chair. The symposium was inaugurated by Bidyasagar Brahma, convener, Prachar Sansad of the Sodou Brahma Dharma Samiti. Simen Chapori UN Academy Principal Bimal Mussahary, Undivided Lakhimpur District ABSU general secretary Simangsa Basumatary and secretary Bodosa Brahma attended the programme as resource persons. In the evening, the delegates’ session of the organizations concerned were held.
