LAKHIMPUR: Along with the rest of the nation, Good Governance Week 2022, 'Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore', the nationwide campaign was conducted in Lakhimpur district too from December 19 to December 25.
During the campaign, various citizen-centric initiatives, including redressal of public grievances, online services, disposal of service delivery applications and good governance practices were undertaken in the district in order to expand the outreach of service delivery mechanisms making them more effective as per objectives of the campaign.
On December 23, a district-level workshop was organized in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office. In the workshop, the district officers of the government departments presented the progress of various schemes implemented through their respective departments across the district.
The workshop was addressed by Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan, Madhavdev University Vice-Chancellor Dibakar Chandra Deka and ADC Manorama Morang. The campaign covered 81 Gaon Panchayats under 9 Development Blocks of the district.
