BONGAIGAON: Minister of Handloom and Textiles, Sericulture, Soil Conservation and Welfare of Bodoland department and Guardian Minister of the Chirang district, Urkhao Gwra Brahma flagged off the tiranga rally organized by the office of the Superintendent of Police of Chirang district on Thursday.

In the rally, along with minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, MLA of Sidli Assembly Constituency Jayanta Basumatary, MLA of Bijni Assembly Constituency Ajay Kumar Roy, Chirang Deputy Commissioner P Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, Superintendent of Police Pranjit Bora, Additional Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Medhi, CRPF Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police Lobo Kumar Deka, as well as Assam Police personnel, CRPF personnel, local village guards, government village heads, representatives of various organizations, students from schools and colleges marched to the greater Runikhata area by holding the national flag in their hands and shouting slogans.

Talking to media, minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma said that the Har Ghar Tiranga programme had been undertaken on the occasion of 75 years of India's Independence to instill love for the motherland. The minister further called upon people to successfully implement the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign from August 13 to August 15.
