LAKHIMPUR: Along with the rest 12 districts of the State, Gunotsav has been underway in Lakhimpur district from Thursday as a part of Phase-III programme of the initiative of this year.
This year Gunutsav, which is conducted across the State to augment quality education apart from indicating learning gaps, especially during COVID-19, and to design effective strategies to meet up these gaps among others, has been covering 2,133 academic institutions, including Lower Primary Schools, Upper Primary Schools, High Schools of Lakhimpur district. A total of 896 officials have been engaged as External Evaluator while 196 officials have been engaged as Public Relation Officer. Nibharani Saikia has been engaged as District Nodal Officer of Gunutsav in Lakhimpur. On the other hand, three high-level officers named Ghanashyam Das, Binay Gupta, and Mustafa Ali Ahmed have been shouldering the responsibility of External Evaluators in the district.
On Friday, Dr Binay Gupta attended the morning assembly at his designated No. 2 Town LP School in North Lakhimpur town. In the school, Dr. Gupta, who was a teacher before joining IFS, delivered an encouraging lecture addressing the students. He also interacted with the parents and guardians of the students. Headmistress Geetali Hazarika and other teachers feted Dr. Gupta with phulam gamosa, cheleng sadar and japi on behalf of the schools. Other external evaluators Professors Deva Baruah, Mridusmita Hazarika, Inspector of Schools Dr. Ramesh Chandra Chutia, DIPRO Mandira Chayengiya were among those who were present in the Gunotsav programme in the school.
