Guwahati: Accused Drunk Driver Arrested After Damaging Assam Map Structure on Shraddhanjali Flyover

GUWAHATI: In a recent incident that occurred on the Shraddhanjali Flyover in Guwahati's Zoo Road area, a drunk driver has been apprehended after causing substantial damage to the railing of the Assam map structure. The incident involved an XUV 700 vehicle that collided with two home guards, resulting in their injuries. This news highlights the events leading to the arrest of the accused driver, Kuldeep Parasar, a resident of Himachal Pradesh.

The serene Assam map structure atop Shraddhanjali Flyover faced an unexpected threat as an inebriated driver, Kuldeep Parasar, veered his XUV 700 into the railing boundary. The accident occurred during the early hours as the vehicle, bearing the registration number AS01 FP 3591, was heading from Chandmari to Ganeshguri. The collision caused extensive damage to the protective boundary of the state's map structure.

Two home guards, identified as Saniram Boro and Rupam Kalita, were unfortunate victims of this reckless driving. They sustained injuries when the accused driver struck them and crashed into the railing. Following this incident, Boro and Kalita promptly reported the incident to the Geetanagar Police Station (Traffic), which led to the arrest of Kuldeep Parasar.
