GUWAHATI: An accident that took place on Wednesday night in Guwahati led to the death of one person and the injury of several others. The perpetrator of the incident was apprehended the perpetrator of the incident.
According to reports, a private vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run accident near the Games Village in the Lalmati locality of the city at around 7: 30 PM. While attempting to flee from the location of the accident, the driver of the vehicle hit other vehicles before colliding with a permanent structure near Beharbari. The driver, identified as Shani Dhar was also injured because of the collision, which also brought his rampaging vehicle to a stop.
Informed to be a resident of the Khanapara Farm Gate locality of the city, Shani Dhar was shifted to a medical facility, where he was admitted for medical attention. Meanwhile, the primary victim was identified as Sunil Kumar and was also moved to a medical facility where he later perished. Four more people aboard two two-wheelers were also hit by the vehicle and received injuries.

Among the injured passengers, approximately 30 sustained various degrees of injuries, with one individual's condition being described as critical. Medical personnel are working to provide the necessary care and treatment to the injured victims.
