Dibrugarh: After the President's visit to the northeastern state of Assam in February 2022, now Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the state by the end of this month.
Following PM's visit, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the Khanikar Police Reserve area in Dibrugarh town and explores the possibility of using that location as a venue for the PM's visit.
Sarma interacted with the concerned officials and directed them to initiate certain measures for removing any kind of malfunctioning or glitches so that the event is conducted successfully.
During the review of preparation for the PM's visit to Assam's Dibrugarh, the state CM along with other ministers also inspected the Cancer Hospital established under Cancer Care Foundation in Dibrugarh.
Moreover, the CM with the doctors of the hospital and construction engineers reviewed the finishing touches given to the Cancer Hospital.
CM Sarma after the review activity held a meeting session with the Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner (DC), Biswajit Pego in presence of other government officials and urged them to ensure a grand success of the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister to the state.
The ministers present in the meeting include Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Rameswar Teli, Health & family welfare minister Kashab Mahanta, Social Welfare Minister Ajanta Neog, Agriculture Minister Atul Bora and others.
The CM asked the state government officials and other MLAs present on the occasion to initiate all the necessary steps that can lead to the success of the event.
It may be mentioned that the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Dibrugarh district of Assam on 28 April 2022.
During his visit to the state, the PM is proposed to inaugurate 7 cancer hospitals out of a total of ten in Assam and will also lay the foundation for 7 more cancer hospitals.
