NAMRUP: In his two-day visit to upper Assam, Minister of Finance, Health and Education, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma along with Union MoS Rameswar Teli, Member of Parliament, Pradan Baruah and other representatives from BJP made a short visit to Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) on Sunday and took an insight of the existing BVFCL plants.
Besides, a meeting was also held with the BVFCL officials regarding the company's proposed Namrup IV plant.
During interacting with the mediapersons, Dr. Sarma said that Minister of Finance, Government of India, Nirmala Sitharaman has given prime importance on the revival of the BVFCL, Namrup and Government of Assam also considers the proposed Namrup IV plant as a matter of utmost significance.
Dr. Sarma also hopes that Fertilizer Ministry will take appropriate measures for the implementation of Namrup IV plant.
