DHUBRI: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) is all set to install an Aviation Fuelling Wing at Rupsi Airport to further ease the fuelling facilities of the aircraft operating from the here.

At present, aircraft get fuel either at Calcutta or Borjhar but after installation of fuelling station at Rupsi, it will further ease the fuelling facilities.

On Sunday, HPCL officials Md. Abbas Abdi and Vipul Gupta visited the Rupsi Airport and conducted a physical survey of the area and reportedly expressed their willingness to go ahead on the plan to install Aviation Fuelling Wing here soon. President and secretary of Rupsi Airport Revival Demand Committee, Bimal Oswal and Jyotirmoy Chakraborty respectively welcomed this significant development at Rupsi Airport and hoped that it would probably increase the number of flights leading to development of the area in the days to come.
