GOALPARA: It has been a glorious day for the people of Goalpara as a whole and the school PR Govt. HS & MP School of the town in particular as two of its students secured position among the State top ten of the Commerce stream in the HS examination result of which was declared on Monday.
Priyakshi Ghosh, daughter of SN Ghosh from the school has secured 4th position with 473 out of total 500 marks and Mrinal Ray, son of Padmalochan Ray has secured 6th position with 468 marks. Priyakshi's secured percentage is 94.6 and Mrinal's is 93.6.
Priyakshi, a resident of Veer Chilaray Road, No.2 Colony of Goalpara town credited her success, besides her parents, to the two teachers particularly, Rofiqul Islam, a private teacher and Subhash Saha, teacher from her school. Her plan is to clear 'Chartered Account' in future.
On the other hand, Mrinal Ray is a resident of Krishnai area and appeared in the PR Govt. HS & MP School centre from a private academy named 'Steps Academy', Krishnai. Teachers of the academy launched a huge celebration after the result. Rafique Zaman, president, Ramkanti Roy, principal of the PR Govt. HS and MP School, Sojimuddin Ahmed, former principal have expressed satisfaction over the overwhelming success by the students and sought further public cooperation. Bitupon Medhi of Matia area had also secured 6th position in the recently declared HSLC examination from the district.
