SILCHAR: Hours after the ABVP blocking the NH in Karimganj town in protest against police failure in arresting the controversial principal of Bhanga Higher Secondary School, Achhar Uddin, the accused was apprehended from Nilambajar area on Saturday evening. Achhar Uddin was missing for last one week after he was accused of molesting a minor girl student inside his school. The incident stirred up much protest in the entire district as the BJP leaders demanded arrest of the Principal.
On Saturday afternoon, ABVP, the student wing of the saffron brigade demonstrated against the police failure in nabbing the Principal, who had earlier records of allegedly misbehaving with the girl students of his school. The demonstration generated much heat as the ABVP blocked the NH for hours. After a few hours, Achhar Uddin was arrested from Nilambajar area. He was reportedly sent to judicial custody.
