HSLC-HS Exam To Be Held From March 15, Says Assam Education Minister

Guwahati: The High School Leaving Certificate (HSCL) and Higher Secondary exam will be held from March 15, 2022, said Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on Thursday.

He informed this after attending a meeting with Sarba Siksha Abhiyan adding, ''the examination will be conducted from the second week of March and probably will end by the first week of April.''

He also said that before the examination, the vaccination will be started from 3rd January in the state and 15 schools will be targeted every day in every district so it can be completed soon.

He also asserted that the parents will also have to take the second dose of the vaccine during the period.

Recently, the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has issued direction to constitute the 'Centre Committees' for the smooth and fair conduct of the ensuing HSLC.

"The Centre Committees for the examination should be formed in a meeting represented by the guardians of the candidates, distinguished persons and educationists of the locality, all heads of the local educational institutions, managing committees of the Centre School, Officers in Charge of the police station, Post Master, doctor or medical officer, and the teaching staff of all the educational institutions under the Centre'', the SEBA pointed out.
