DIBRUGARH: The National Health Mission (NHM), Assam Mission Director MS Laxmipriya on Tuesday inaugurated “Snehbandhan Lactation Management Centre”, a Human Milk Bank at the Mother & Child building at AMCH in Dibrugarh. This is said to be the first Human Milk Bank in Assam. Two more such banks are coming up at GMCH & Silchar Medical College. The Mission Director also inaugurated “Hematology and Multipurpose Day Care Centre” at the Department of Medicine in AMCH on Tuesday. MS Laxmipriya is also presiding over the Zonal Review meeting of 11 upper Assam districts Dibrugarh, Dhemaji, Sonitpur, Biswanath, Majuli, Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Golaghat, Sivasagar, Charaideo & Tinsukia being at Dr John Berry White Auditorium, AMCH.
Dr Sanjib Kakoti, Principal, Assam Medical College, Dr Prashanta Dihingia, Superintendent and other faculties, doctors and staff of AMCH were present during the occasion.
