ICU ward inaugurated at LGB Civil Hospital in Tinsukia district

With the inauguration of ICU ward at LGB Civil Hospital on Wednesday, Tinsukia got its first ICU facility

TINSUKIA: With the inauguration of ICU ward at LGB Civil Hospital on Wednesday, Tinsukia got its first ICU facility.

The 20-bedded ICU ward was inaugurated jointly by Rameshwar Teli, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, and Sanjay Kishan, Minister of State for Labour and Tea Tribes Welfare, in the presence of Bhaskar Pegu, Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia, and Ayush Garh, ADC Health, besides other health officials. The ICU facility was the need of the hour for people of Tinsukia district as critical patients from far-flung areas of the district had to be referred to Assam Medical College and Hospital, (AMCH), Dibrugarh, which is about 50 km away. Many of them reportedly died before reaching AMCH.
