TEZPUR: Acting on a tip-off, joint excise raid was carried out on Friday in various places under Tezpur, Chariduar and Dhekiajuli revenue circles, viz., Batamari, Adabari Gaon, Sonabeel TE, Khanamukh, Dalangpar and Notun Sirajuli in Sonitpur district. The raid was supervised by Rahul Gupta, AC and CO, Chariduar Revenue Circle in Sonitpur district. During the course of the raid, around 275 litres of illicitly distilled liquor, 920 kg pachwai and 1,930 litres fermented wash were destroyed and 106 utensils were seized, official sources said.
