HAFLONG: Several students' bodies of Dima Hasao like Dimasa Students' Union (DSU), All Dimasa Students' Union (ADSU), Hrangkhol Students Association (HKSA), Hmar Students' Association (HSA) and All Biate Students Association (ABSA) expressing serious concern over the rapid rise of COVID positive cases demanded the temporary suspension of Assam Rifles recruitment process at Haflong.

The student leaders in a press meet held on Saturday at the office of DSU stated that according to the media sources it was learnt that recently three suspected COVID-19 patients fled from Haflong Civil Hospital COVID-19 testing ward without any notice to the hospital authority. Later it was learnt that the three suspected patients were from the neighbouring State who recently came to Haflong to join the recruitment process organized by 11th Assam Rifles.
